I had the rare privilege to see a private performance of Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird" at the Monroeville Al courthouse last night--the home of Harper Lee. The play, performed by local talent, started outside and moved inside for the second act. It is normally performed in May for the public. We saw some actors dressed as Geo Washington, Tom Jefferson and James Madison debating the forming of a new nation on the lawn at Mt Vernon a few years back. Awesome.

But I have never been to the Courthouse performance---and we live just two counties away!
