Tickle Pink?

My husband and I are planning a trip to Carmel/Big Sur and we are thinking of the Tickle Pink Inn based on all of the posts in this forum about it. However, the web site does not do it justice if it is really that fabulous. My only concern is that the rooms are shabby...Can anyone tell me if the rooms are in fact updated? Thanks!

The Tickle Pink Inn is very nice, but I wouldn't call it fabulous. Fabulous might be the Highlands Inn, though.

Yes, we would say the Highland's Inn is fabulous! We have spent two anniversary occasions there. As is their restaurant, The Pacific's Edge. ***kim***

The joy of the Tickle Pink is that you enjoy the same spectacular view of Highlands Inn, at a greatly reduced price. It's rustic and _very_ cozy.
We've stayed there often -- ask for a room with a fireplace (wood is free).

Be sure to make advance reservations to dine at Pacific's Edge. Dinner's are wonderful (pricey, but worth it), and their Sunday brunch is very special (that view!!!!).

Thank you for all the advice. We would love to stay at the Highlands - that's up our alley. But we think we are going to end our trip with four days at the Ritz in Half Moon Bay for pure vegging out. Any thoughts on that?
