That is exactly my point Neo. Tourists are a bunch of idiots that know nothing and I am just happy that they spend their money here and leave. And that goes double for people who live in NJ.

Thanks again....finally tucked into my room in China.....thought I was en route to NYC took a detour, so China it is....ha....Naw, it's all good. Plan to get up tomorrow....a lot of ground to cover. So far nothing eaten in this area has mobbed me. I appreciate halls help.

Mr. I am done....tourists are a necessary evil of sorts....but always remind myself that I jump into that role i.e., tourist,
often and try to treat people with respect. Speaking of Carmine's.....I actually enjoyed it last time I was here. I am definitely an off the beaten path gal, but can find joy in most places,

Regarding Statue of Liberty .....I so love history....thus am drawn to Ellis Island.....Thinking Sunday morning? Bad idea? Just do ferry and wave as we go by?

BTW....do darn tired could not access my old name....so it's me, Miacaraitalia thus the comments. To think I turn 50 in a few days and already losing my memory ...ha. I too am sarcastic.

No problem Jadore, we all have problems with our names.

You can wave at the Statue of Liberty but Ellis Island has much more to offer on the Island itself.

You can get to Ellis Island ONLY on the Staten Island ferry and need advance tickets or you will end up standing on line forever to get a ticket and then get on a ferry. No need to get off at Liberty island - but the ferry will stop there for others to get off and on for Ellis Island. EI is brilliant and really worth the time - but there is no other way to get there.

Tickets only through statuecruises.com/

The Staten Island Ferry does not go either the Statue or Ellis Island, there are independent boats and that is there only destinations.
