The best Marriott property in Charleston, SC

We would like to use Marriott's point and accommodate a whole family in one of marriot's hotel. What Marriott should we stay in? We are going to be there in the end of October for 3 nights. Hope to be close to everything worthy to see and withing walking distance to the best (doesn't mean the most expensive)restaurants.
Thanks

The Renaissance on Wentworth. The other Marriott's aren't walking distance to anything and Charleston (downtown) isn't a driving city.

I think the Renaissance is as good of a hotel as any other in Charleston and I'd happily stay there for free.

If price is no object, these are my faves in no particular order:

Very Expensive

Wentworth Mansion
Harborview Hotel
Charleston Place
Planters Inn

Less Expensive

French Quarter
Church Street Inn
Doubletree
Mills House

Moderate

Vendue Inn
Andrew Pinckney
Days Inn
King Charles Best Western
Indigo Inn

Keep in mind there aren't any bargain hotels in the historic district. I stayed in Charleston Saturday night (we stay there often even though we only live an hour outside town) and paid $200 per night for the King Charles Best Western.

It's all about location and nothing is cheap.

I did an extensive trip report in February and if you search "GoTravel Charleston" it should appear. I particularly highlighted many Charleston hotels.
