Temecula Lodging Blues
We have family 2 hours away in Temecula & are sick to death having to stay at the the dreary Best Western every few months. The only nicer places are Temecula Creek Inn & Embassy Suites, where they charge ridiculous prices, even at the off peak times of the year, like right now. It is infuriating, when you know these hotels are sitting there with empty rooms, as the balloon & wine-tasting crowds will not be coming in until spring & summer months. I got on to Priceline.com & offered $125, but no luck. Does anyone know how to find condos for rent by the weekend in Temecula? Have been on the internet for 2 hours now & am totally discouraged.

I live in Temecula and I know that they are finishing or it may have just opened a new hotel off of Jefferson and Rancho California Road. I would look also for lodging in Murrietta or on Front street. There are many hotels on Jefferson Ave. I grew up in San Diego, so I know what you're saying about not a large choice but Temecula was a very small town up until a few years ago and they haven't caught up with the mass of people finding Temecula. Hope this helps you.
