Heard a rumor that the free skier parking in the Miner's, Tailings, and Gold Rush parking lots at Breckenridge will soon start costing $10 a day.

IS THIS TRUE???

Are the parking lots you mentioned close to the new gondola? I need to find my map.

This is from the FAQ section of their website. So as of now - no - but notice the "fees subject to change" line. I swear we paid more than $10 to park last year. I also wanted to know the answer to your question.

"Is there free skier parking in Breckenridge?

Yes. Free parking is available at the Miner’s, Tailings, and Gold Rush Lots. These lots are located on Park Avenue and provide a free shuttle to each base area. Pay parking lots can be found at the base of Peak 8 and Beaver Run at Peak 9. Pay parking is approximately $10 per vehicle per day. Fees subject to change."

I heard that once the Gondola gets running, the free parking at the Miner's, Tailings, and Gold Rush lots will no longer be free. You'll need to park down by the Rec Center for free parking.

For some reason that doesn't surprise me. Do you know if the gondola is still scheduled for service before Christmas? A friend was at Breckenridge over Thanksgiving and had no idea what I was talking about when I asked how the gondola was coming along.
