Tell me about the Hapuna Prince

Who has stayed at the Hapuna Prince? What a beautiful hotel. What can you tell me about it?

Is there a website (besides theirs) that has more information?

How would you rate the following on a scale of 1 - 10:

Beach:
Rooms:
Restaurants/Food:
Location:
Staff:
Food:
Overall atmosphere:

What is the BEST thing about this hotel?

What is the WORST thing about this hotel?

Just a couple more questions

What do they mean by "Nightly turn down service available upon request". Can you arrange for this at the beginning of your stay? Is this something people request every night?

The website also says there is a "mini refrigerator with bottled water". Is this refrigerator going to be big enough so we can keep some food and drinks in there too? Or is it like a mini bar? Is there any kind of kitchenette in the room?

Thanks!

I stayed here over Christmas/New Years (unfortunately high season so rates were very expensive)and loved it. I'd give it a 10 in all categories. The decor was understated elegance-slate floors, huge bathroom with both shower and bath, gorgeous lobby and outdoor restaurant, and the beach-superb. Surf was rough at times but we still enjoyed the water. Poolside restaurant was good also. Didn't interact with the staff too much, although I have no complaints. Turn down service is no big deal really. I would stay here again. The best thing is the pool/beach. The worst...gee, can't think of anything other than I wish I had gotten a better deal on the price!
I think anyone would enjoy staying here.

Sounds great!

Is there any kind of nightlife here or close by? I don't need anything wild & crazy, just someplace to listen to music & have a drink.

I stayed there last summer and loved it! The only knock I have is the price for food. However, it not that much more than I would expect for a very nice resort in Hawaii. The mini fridge is big enough to hold some food and beverages (we did the same). Enjoy!
