We are going to Anchorage in on may 15th and then taking the cruise. There are only 2 tours available on Denail. 1) Teklanika Tundra Wilderness Tour and 2) Denali Natural History Tour.

I saw that people did not recommend natural history tour. How is the Teklanika Tundra Wilderness Tour ? Is there free shuttles running around this time into the park that would be better option.

I was thinking if there is not much you can go inside denali park would it be better to just go to Wasilla or may be Talkeetna & Explore more on the Seward area

One more thing shuttles beyond teklanika is available only after 20th may and i have only 3 days so either do denali or seward. I am taking 7 day one day princess cruise from whittier.

You are there too early. Teklanika is only 30 miles in IF that, in your timeframe, you may not have the total access.

I would spend your time in Seward, unless your priority is for flightseeing out of Talkeetna?? Do one day in Anchorage, 2 in Seward. Do your homework, find out what is of interest>> A significant highlight of Seward is Kenai Fjords boat tours, needing at least 6 hours on the water.

Is the wildwife that we see on Kenai Fjords boat tours comparable to something we will see denali park ? Also, the wildlife we will see from boat or the tour drops you on land.

More than likely you won't see bears, moose, caribou, sheep, etc on the Kenai Fjords tour--it's mostly a marine wildlife and glacier tour.

Totally different wildlife. Varied marine and birds out of Kenai fjords, land animals at Denali park. You stay on the boat, on a route tour. With the most opportunity on the longest- Northwestern Fjords trips. Be WELL prepared, if prone to motion sickness, I see sick passengers EVERY trip.

Whittier has a boat tour that is will worth the price. We took it twice. You get up real close to the glaciers and you see wild life.

Seward is a great place to visit. Exit Glacier is a state park; it’s free and just outside of the city of Seward.

You also have many boat tours in Seward; we went on a tour and ran across a pod of Orca whales and Humpbacks

We are going on a cruise at the end of May; it will be our 17th Alaska Cruise.

Without your own transportation, you have to taxi or shuttle to Exit. There is also a parking fee, if you drive. Ranger activities as well.
