talk to me about the Ecco store in SF

I know the Ecco flagship store is on Post Street in San Francisco. Do they have good deals, or are the shoes the same price they are everywhere? I love Ecco shoes, but, man, are they pricey! Will leave extra room in my suitcase if I can score a great deal!

try a Nordstrom Rack. I get mine there for about a third of the cost. Just picked up a pair this week for 30bucks!

Thanks Malvado! We don't have Nordstrom's here, but it's going to be one of my first stops in SF.

Does anybody have any first hand experience with the Ecco store?

This is going to frustrate you, because I don't have experience with the store, either, but I couldn't resist seconding Nordstrom Rack--look for one out there, because if you're lucky, the deals are great. Also, try Zappos.com online. And I hope someone can tell you about the store in SF! Good luck!

No experience here either just a reminder that Nordstrom's Rack is a spearate store from Nordstrom's. You might also want to try Loehman's.

There are usually a few sales at the Ecco store, but most items are full priced.

I no longer buy Eccos at Nordstrom at regular price.

I've bought several pair on Ebay for as little as $30 ( brand new..not worn)

Where is Nordstrom Rack in SF? I have to try shoes on, so ebay is out, but thanks for all the suggestions.

Sounds like this Rack place is the ticket. Can someone tell me if there is one near Union Square?

There is one in SF but it's not near Union Square. it's at a location on Harrison between 9th and 10th, an easy cab ride, but don't try to walk it.

I was at an Ecco "factory outlet" store in Maine last weekend. They had an excellent selection, but there were no deals to be had. I have had much better luck at my local shoe store at sale times. If you are in SF, it will not hurt to give it a try.
