We're visiting Busch Gardens in Tampa, and need a good hotel recommendation. There are four of us, including two children. Are there "inside the park" hotels at Busch Gardens like in Disneyworld? What are the best hotels in Tampa?

there is no in the park hotel that I know of..there is an Embassy Suites(cooked to order bkfst)..Hoilday Inn(remodolded in 1999)..AmeriSuites..right around that area really close....also Adventure Island(Buschs') water park...great fun..and the MOSI--science museum w/IMAX..it`s still a trek into Tampa proper..there are some good restaurants nearby...are lookig for Tampa or BG hotels...that makes a difference...

We'll be in Tampa only for 2 nights, with one full day at Busch Gardens. Children are young. Of the hotels you mentioned, which would you recommend?

There is a Best Western that is so close to the park "as the bird flies" that they get escapees (birds, not lions) in their trees. To get to Busch Gardens you have to drive in a big "U" - so it is certainly not walking distance, but the pool area almost backs up onto Busch Gardens. We stayed there with 2 kids a few years ago and got a 2 room suite - not spectacular, but pool was nice and certainly was fine for our purposes.

save 10 % on tixs for BG by buying online on their website..Best Western All-suites ph# 1-813-971-8930 ~ also a Howard Johnson at 4139 Busch Blvd...says you can walk across the street fm their hotel..I really don`t remember it but you could call and ask to make sure..
