Hi. We are traveling to the Lk. George and Lk. Placid area from July 26-Aug 3 and are looking for reasonable accomodations on the water for three nights Lk. George end of July, on the water. Any suggestions appreciated...The Surfside resort has been suggested so far. We have three small kids under 7 years old. Thanks!!!!

other suggestions have been Blue Water Manor resort, Treasure Cove, Contessa Resort, all on Lake George and Twin Bay Resort too...Anyone stayed at any of these that can share input?? Thank you!!

I "almost" had the breakfast buffet at the surfside but it was 22$ which we felt was over priced. I haven't stayed there but it seemed decent and clean from what I saw.

I stayed at the sundowner which is very close by and enjoyed my stay very much. It was clean, well maintained, the staff were friendly and accomodating and the rates were reasonable. I would definitely recommend it.

Have a good time, Lake George is a fun place!!

Layla- Thank you very much, we will check that one out, $22.00 for a breakfast buffet and we will be broke by the end of the three days!! Looking at several, will check out your suggestion also, would it be a good spot for the little kids with a sandy beach and pool? Thank you very much, there are SO many choices!!
