Sunday Brunch in NY

I would like to take my mom for Brunch while in New York on the Sunday. We will be in the area of the Astor Theatre (Lafayette, between Astor and 4th). Any suggestions...nothing too expensive, but not McDonalds either. Say $40 each.

I recommend Danal, 90 East 10th St. (between 3rd and 4th Ave.), very close to where you'll be. Very popular brunch spot.

Blue Ribbon Bakery and The Cupping Room are two of my favorites.

HI
It's not in the same neighborhood, but I think one of the best nice brunch deals in town can be had at the Water Club, which is on the East River around 24th Street. It is a prix fixe, generous, buffet, in a very pretty setting on the water. It might be just above $40pp.
