Summer Trip with family Big Sky or Jackson Hole?

We are trying to plan a summer trip for 7 late July 2022. We will have our kids ranging from ( 26,24,22,18 and 16). We will need to rent a place and don't mind not staying in the center of the action but close enough to get to by car. Which one would appeal more to this age range both female/male? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Areas to rent in as well!! Thank you!

What do you like to do? Hike? bike? spa? shop? Jackson is really upscale. Big Sky is more varied in costs of lodging/dining. Jackson has 2 national parks super close. In both places, you can rent in the ski resorts--either direct or through VRBO/Air BB or through property management companies/VRBO etc. Age group isn't the key here--it's what you all like doing and where is the best place to do it.

Going in the summer so ....white water rafting, horseback riding, dinner at a dude ranch or a rodeo. Wouldn't mind some shopping and spa day too. A few nice dinners out. We want to explore the Tetons and We want to do at least 2 days at Yellowstone but may just head up closer that way after doing Jackson Hole. I think Big Sky is already pretty to close to the park. It just so massive that I don't know what area to choose so that we can do everything we want to.

The southern part of the park is more accessible from Jackson. If you want to see the Tetons, then Jackson is your answer. Start there and see the Tetons--try the cabins at Dornans. Then get losing in the park to see Yellowstone. Book as far in advance as you can--like now for next summer. Not kidding. Search the forums here. Plenty of trip reports and queries with answers to questions just like yours. You can click on my user name and find trip reports for Jackson and Yellowstone. These are focused on kid activities--that are fun for adults too IMO.
