Summer: Kangamangus Rock Slide?
Hello.
I am returning to the area this summer. Although I am quite familiar with the White Mountains, I can't recall where the rock slide section of the Kanagamangus is or how to get there. Any hints? Thanks!
Notes: We won't be traveling with children. Just wanted to have a quiet group picnic and a swim in the river.

i have just phoned my friend who lives in the area. he works for the us forest service and drives around that region daily. he says he does not know of any "rock slide". there are numerous places to stop and picnic/swim on the kanc however. and not to be too picky but it is spelled Kancamagus. not to worry though, many places in maine are either unspellable or unpronounceable. if you can remember anything else about the slide perhaps i can get more info for you.

New information...
Kacamangus Scenic Byway & Swift River
My mother was able to fill me in on the details: Our trips were to along the Kacamangus Scenic Byway to the Swift River at Lower Falls.
The rocks within the river have been worn down/smoothed and are used by many as a natural waterslide.
Can't wait to visit.
