I was in downtown Savannah this summer in late July. It was miserable because I was in the city with all the asphalt, cars, cement, etc. I suppose it would have been nicer at the beach with my swimsuit on and the breezes whipping around my feet. It put the damper on our desire to get out. So we got in the car and did a car tour. My teenager was bored out of his mind.

I'd hardly call this downtown, blacktie, but then I guess you haven't seen it or you wouldn't have made that comment. And then there's the boat...geez I wish we could get that thing out of downtown--terrible sailing on Main St! LOL Savannah has Tybee Island on the cooler Atlantic if you want to talk beach! Trust me jgs121, it's hotter here than Savannah.

hey, tg, it's 75 at the beach ... crank up your hummer and head west. good light until 6, then poppers at Caddys, and some dancing at Captain Ks. Why stay downtown and swelter. Life is a beach.

I'm supposed to be working. Maybe tomorrow. Oh, but I wish I could.

TG...speaking of boats, did you see that picture in the St Pete Times of the family whose boat capsized in the waves in the bay?! 15' boat!

I believe you've just talked me into happy hour. Next to the pool, of course! Will think fondly of you's.

head west, young (wo)man! and apparently no bad traffic or we'd heard. and just remember - veggies have feelings too. Don't mash the sqaush, you masher, lol. Take care, and may the winds be alway right in your sails and the tide in favor of your course. Tomorrow, buy a vet a beer and a popper.

OO, that was so sad. That poor little family (they could have floated along on all the excess they had on them, if you know what I mean). Some people should stay on land. It looks too easy I guess. And actually it is. Bunch of dummies.

Like your spirit, tg. It's always happy hour someplace ... or was that the cocktail hour I recall. In any event, have a good one and bottoms up!
