So Sue if I understand it right, you'll be finished in TS by about 9:30am on Tues? I've had the date on my calendar (though for me, getting to TS from BK at that hour might be tricky-!). I need to be back in BK by mid-morning...

We'll be done in Times Square before 9 so you can certainly get back to BK by midmorning.

Great to hear! Now to just make sure I get up in time.
Please put me as a most-likely-yes for the tour.

So is anyone else from here showing up tomorrow? I've added a few more summer events to my blog. I really like the Beer Exhibit at the NY Historical Society.

Hi Sue, just walked in the door after my appointment.

What a fun morning!! Well worth getting myself out the door to midtown at such an early hour.

Looking forward to the pre-GTG walk in August!

I thought about the route again after I left you. We will still start at GCT and go South enough so we can come North and walk the road around GCT that is normally not open to pedestrians - it is wonderful and then take Park Ave to 60th and then head to Central Park. We'll do an off road magical mystery tour and get out on the West Side near the brunch place.

This will be reposted closer to the time when a new GTG thread is started - the other one is too long

The Yankees are out of town on August 12th (the day after the GTG) but I will be touring the stadium as part of a cause related fitness event. Want to join me?

Great summer theatre in Battery Park until July 24th. I went last night and really loved Twelfth Night!

Do you have an idea where to look for concerts that are going to take place in NYC?

New York City is a big place. The philharmonic in the park was yesterday and monday. I'd start with newyork.timeout.com and narrow your search by the kind of music you want to see and the dates you will actually be here. Your question as stated is a bit broad for any search engine.

More summer events including an activity before the GTG on August 11th. If anyone wants to join me for summer streets and Central Park, let's meet at the clock in Grand Central at 9:45. We will walk south just far enough to enter the road that goes around GC that is always off limits to pedestrians. We'll walk Park to 60th then head over to Central Park. I promise a nice off road route including some of the Ramble and we'll leave the Park on the West Side near the restaurant.

Note: this is a good fun 3 mile walk. More info here:

I'll start a separate thread closer to the time unless someone else does it first. The GTG thread is way too long for me.
