Suggestions for a digital camera for trip
Just wondering if anyone has experience using the Samsung - WB250F 14.2-Megapixel Digital Camera - on their vacation in Europe, and how its performance was? The cost is about $230, and wondering if there are any other recommendations for cameras that are comparable?

No experience with that particular model. I love my little Nikon. This might help sway your decision - http://www.techtwirl.com/shopping/?s...a#.UkMMsFN0q70
Make sure that you can charge the battery with the European voltage. The plug is different from the standard US plug

There are many cameras described. I just looked at the first Nikon. Wondering what kind of batteries you use, AA, Lithium, etc.? I found that the AA batteries used in my Canon did not last at all! I've had experience with the Lithium in another camera I used, and found that it lasts longer, but is more expensive.

I've used Cannon, Nikon and Sony recently and the Cannon's have had the best performance.
If I was getting a camera today, it would be a SX50 with 50x optical zoom and 12.1 megapixels. It is available online for about $340-370.
The Energizer Recharge Power Plus double AA batteries do a great job.

My old Nikon just died. It won't read SD cards any more.
I picked up a simple point and shoot zoom lens Canon A2500 at San Jose Camera for $119. It was cheaper than what Amazon charged.
I've used it already, and it's just fine.
