stupid fodor format change

What's with the format change of last date of reply and number of replies? I prefered the time being shown so I knew how far to scroll down after my last exit.

The current look of the list of posts being too wide to fit the column is a result of one title being too long without spaces so it won't break it up into lines. I think it's the post about amherst/williams, etc. etc.
This also happens when someone lists a URL or website that is too long for a single line.

We need more people topping other threads or starting new ones to get the offending post moved below the first 50!

If they had an emoticon showing a head banging against a wall, I'd use it right now!

Has nothing to do w/the new format.

Back in the old days when I was fairly new on here I posted one of those loooooong titles w/o spaces.

I got an e-mail from Fodors editors telling me how it screwed up the left frame, and included my original text. They deleted my thread and I posted it again w/o the offending spaceless title.

Guess the new editors don't do that anymore.

No, ronkala, they haven't done anything. It's just that the offending post has now moved down to the second 50 messages. If you go to the second page, you'll see it's the one messed up now.

If the format of this site is the biggest problem you have in life, you've got it awfully good!

Actually it is, isn't that great? Retired, take two or three trips a year, moved out of the overcrowded overtaxed northern VA area to live in the Shenandoah Valley. Add good health to that and there you have it.

Patrick, thanks. I noticed that last night also.

Having a format fit suggests some post too long, too often. As long as the travel info is good, who cares!
