It's really too bad and really quite sad, deep down, I'm feeling a bit mad. What was becoming and understanding between those who are typo challenged, and those who are grammaticly obsessed challenged....well we may never meet in the middle in harmony since someone has decided we may no longer respond to my post........sigh!!!!! How shallow to not see, if not for so many, there would be no forum, and to delete, because you can, could make us all sadly go away. And then the sensor would be all alone, saddly.

gyppielou, I really wanted to post on that thread but it was shut down by the time I read it.

I am one of those people who has to sit on my hands to keep from correcting spelling and grammar. But I do manage to control myself. I don't mind typos, because everyone makes them, and personally I don't mind a casual style. Starting a sentence with "and," using a dash or a ... occasionally -- those are fine with me. We are conversational here, not formal.

I try to confine my corrections to the following categories:
1. Place names or other similar words where an incorrect spelling will hinder useful research.
2. Teasing people I feel I know well enough to tease.

And furthermor, or is it furthermore? I have witnessed other forums fall apart due to over policing. This place is about travel and helping each other. It MUST be fun. Otherwise, why hang out during the slow times. The people of the 34 responses were mostly regulars, and they are who keep this board alive. Nuff said.
