Still raining lots in Maui?

We are leaving a week from today. I've been watching the weather and it hasn't looked good. Is it still raining a lot in Maui and Kauai?

Was speaking to a friend who lives in Oahu and she said the weather has still been weird over that way. They had a tournado on Lanai last week and hail in Maui.

Some happy news.
We went and looked up the weather and saw rain rain rain predicted for our entire stay. We arrived and had nothing but sun sun sun for our entire stay.
Sometimes it is raining on one island or one side of an island and sunny on the other. We were there and all of the relatives on the mainland were telling us it was raining in Hawaii and it was not where we were on Maui, so don;t worry unecessarily. It will be what it is, you can't really do anything about it anyway.

Peterman- Were you in the Kihei/ Wailea area? That's the sunnier part of Maui and does escape a lot of the rain.

Maui hasn't had the rain the other islands have. We've had some rainy nights and some on again-off again rain the past few days, but it has been interspersed with fabulous weather. It rained last night and it is still overcast and hazy right now, but nothing too terribly threatening. They call it "sunny Kihei" for good reason!
