Hi

How does the Minturn Country Club sound?? Well, its NOT a country club - it's actually a club in the country in Minturn Colorado. It was recommended to us while we were in Vail and we drove to it (about 10 minutes) and were surprised - first we picked out our steaks from a refrigerated meat counter and then took them to a large grill in the middle of the restaurant and proceeded to cook our own. The whole evening was great - nice atmosphere - not pricey at all - we all had a great time. If you decide to try it - ask someone at your hotel where to find it.

Thanks for the tip! We are getting some crazy weather -white out conditions in Vail so may be unable to make the drive up! Wish us luck!

We spent a wonderful week in Vail this summer and had great chateaubriand at The Ore House, right in the middle of town. Also loved Blu's - they've got a large and innovative menu at very reasonable prices. Have a great weekend!

No, did not need reservations, but we were there in July. I don't know what the situation would be in the fall - at least I assume it's fall out there. Here in Florida it's still summer!

Well, it was still summer-but it snowed in the mountains yesterday-and they are expecting more Saturday! I'm thinking this will keep most of the crowds away (its Oktoberfest)-thanks again!

To this day, the boys still talk about it. I think I had the Chateaubriand.

I totally agree about the Minturn Country Club, it is worth the drive and to see the difference between Vail and Minturn. We have been going to Vail for over 20 yrs and have always enjoyed the food and all in Minuturn. You cook your own food on a grill and it makes for a great fun evening.
