Steak House Near Oconee

I'm looking for a great Steak House near Lake Oconee to send my DH and some friends for his birthday. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Depends on what you are looking for when you say "great steak house". If you are looking for a Bones or Chops or similar, then, yes the answer would be Atlanta.

There are a few restaurants that have opened up outside Reynolds Plantation.

If you want great steaks, then Stalvey's in Covington or his Butcher Block Deli in Social Circle and Monroe would have GREAT steaks. But, I'm not sure it's what you are looking for.

So, if you are looking for something near the Ritz, there are limited options.
If you are looking for great steaks, there are places within a hour or so, but if you are looking for a Bones or Chops, then Atlanta is the best place.

I think Stalvey may have bought Cowboys outside of Rutledge, but still too far of a drive I'm sure.

HERE IT IS!!!

I googled and there's a Butcher Block at Oconee. I called and it is a Stalvey's restaurant.

Great steaks. Great. Not sure of the atmosphere (they vary) but you won't find a better steak in Georgia.
