Statue of Liberty tickets

Hi everyone, Me, my mom and sister have already been to NY and loved it so much we plan to take my dad my brother and my other sister. So we are planning to stay for 2 weeks and visit all the landmarks since my dad really thinks NY is only buildings. Anyways, I am planning to buy reserve tix for Statue of Liberty but the tix with the monument pass from battery park is no longer available for our preferred dates, I plan on getting tickets from the liberty state park side. So my question is can we ride the ferry from battery park with liberty park tickets? Thank you very much!

No - you have to use the tickets from the locationnoted - which will mean getting a car service - or renting a car - to get to and from New Jersey (the ferry will return you there too).

You might want to check in with these folks who have blocks of monument access passes (NOTE - not passes to climb the crown)

You have to get over to Liberty Park by using a PATH train and then light rail. Scroll down for directions here. http://www.libertystatepark.com/directio.htm

I think there may also be a ferry or water taxi from Wall st. to Liberty State park during the week.

Currently the National Park Service Statue http://www.nps.gov/stli/index.htm web site says there is no elevator service so even to get to the top of the pedestal it is 168 stairs and over 350 to the top of the crown. Something to consider depending on the age and health of your group. The site says they don't know when it will be back in service but that it will be out for an extended period of time. You can get a great view of the statue from some of the harbor cruises or ferries if you don't want to take the stairs.

Thanks everyone!
When we first got there, we went to NJ but went back to Manhattan thru the battery park ferry, so I guess that's what we'll do... again... and I think the crown is off limits isn't it?
