St. Paul, MN Hotel Help needed

Going to St. Paul on business--any comments on the Embassy Suites Hotel on 10th or any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I stayed at The St. Paul Hotel a few years back and loved it. It's across from a little park and there is so much to do around the hotel. We didn't need a car. In my many years of travel I rate this hotel with some of the very best in the world. Give it a look see.

I live in Minnesota and have dined at the St. Paul Hotel. It is lovely and ideally located next to Rice Park which is full of holiday decorations and events.
I am a Mpls. girl, however...don't know a thing about the Embassy Suites hotel or locale.
I do hope you enjoy our fair state!
Welcome!

I've stayed at the ES on business. It's fine. One of the nicer ESs I've seen. The St. Paul is wonderful with better location in heart of DT (which isn't that big) but pricier . . . if that matters.

I've been in the lobby of the Embassy Suites and it looks very nice, but I've never stayed there. It's on the outskirts of downtown, though, so I guess it depends on where your business will take you and if you'll have a car. It's located right on two major freeways, I-94 and I-35E.

Here is a map I found of hotels in the downtown area:

I would second the Saint Paul Hotel as an excellent place to stay, right on beautiful Rice Park and near many things to do at night as well--the Ordway Center is just across the park and there are many great restaurants nearby. There are other hotels on the map that you could check out, too.

Hope that helps!

d, When I stayed at The St. Paul it was so enjoyable not only because it is a lovely hotel, the staff are the best ever. I wonder if the concierge Mr. Williams is still there. He got tickets to a ballgame and had the hotel car take us and pick us up.
