St Louis Botanical Garden
I will be going to St Louis this weekend. While my husband is attending meetings I plan to visit the Botanical Garden. I would love any recommendations for garden centers in the st louis area. I know that I will be in a buying mood after I see all the gardens have to offer.
Would also love to break with a nice lunch...any ideas?
Thank you

Hi,
I was just at the gardens on Easter, and they are spectacular this time of the year. I believe they will be having some sort of plant sale this weekend, I think it is the Herb society. Also be sure to check out Tower Grove Park just next to the Botanical Gardens. Good for a stroll! Gringo Jones is a great store nearby for garden art and sculpture.
here is the website for the Gardens.

I just noticed that the St. Louis Herb Society will be at the Botan. Gardens from 9am-5pm Friday through Sunday, April 21-23. I may have to run down and buy some herbs.
Do you really want to drag plants home to wherever you are coming from. It may be better to just be inspired, and buy from your local nursery...just a suggestion. Otherwise, my favorite place to buy plants is called Sherwood's Forest, but it is nowhere near the garden. http://www.sherwoods-forest.com/
