st george motels

Any recommendations on a place to stay overnight in St. George? Any places not to stay. doesn't have to be the cheapest. Would prefer fairly new, clean, not musty, etc.

I live about 35 miles south of St George and nothing stands out in my mind as exceptional. I'd just pick whichever of the mid-range major brands you prefer. You should be able to find satisfactory lodging but to my knowledge, nothing there is in the 4-5 star category.

St. George, Utah? Around Christmas, we stayed in the Comfort Suites there and were very, very pleased. The rooms were room and clean and the rate was great. They have a lovely outdoor pool that is heated to a comfortable level...tip: go from the pool to the hot tub and get nice and warm before you make the dash back to your room.

The expanded continental breakfast was very nice.

I stayed at the Budget Inn. Here is the link.It was close to the freeway and breakfast was included at the restaurant next door.

The Hampton Inn that was affiliated with this property, but it's on the other side of town. I was in there and it was nice.

Keep in mind that St. George is small, so it doesn't take a lot of time to get across town!

Any feedback on the Green Valley Spa/Inn?? I am staying there 3/24. Seems like it is mostly a "go for a week" place, but I wil only be there one night.

Hi Joanel. Last fall, we stayed at both the Comfort Suites (outbound) and the Best Western Abbey Inn (inbound) on our Utah trip. I must say that while the Comfort Suites was comfortable, their location right next to the freeway made it very noisy for us. We did not care for their breakfast (sorry, but gravy & biscuits is not my style).

The Best Western Abbey Inn was delightful. Away from the freeway, the rooms were decorated very nicely. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was terrific.

BW Abbey is St. George's second highest rated hotel on tripadvisor.com.

Happy travels!

Thanks, we are debating between the BW abbey and the Holiday inn.
