CPG - thanks for posting about this - I didn't know that Yura had opened this place. My son goes to school near there, and I'm in the nabe often enough . .
I've had sandwiches and desserts from Yura's take-out shops over the years, the food has always been tasty, homey, and a bit pricey. But I'll check this out!
And mclaurie, thanks for posting the links

mclaurie - thanks for the links. I thought it looked good except for the $28 meatloaf.
Elainee - what did you eat that caused you to feel that way or was it the menu in general?
I was looking for a place for dinner for six that was good as well as moderate. Pascalou comes to mind, but it is a tight fit. Any thoughts for E 70's up to low 90's? Anyone eat in Turquoise lately?

I've not been to Turquoise but reviews on menupages don't sound promising. I really like Due, an oldie but goody for Italian. If you want seafood, I've noticed Flex Mussels is a new place. For French, what about Table D'Hote? Can they not do a table for 6? The place is tight but the food is good and their prix fixe are good value. Otherwise, Quatorze Bis isn't cheap but very good.

Cafe d'Alsace is good, can handle 6 but might be noisy . . Beyoglu, the Turkish place is good. Our Place used to be retty good - Jacques is OK - not fantastic, but reliable bistro. Yes, i agree w/ mclaurie Due is pretty good - have never been to Spigolo but it's supposed to be great - tough to get 6 in there tho . . .

Squash cannoloni first course...gummy, tasteless, totally tasteless white sauce. Passed it to our friends. Husband ordered pea soup...he did not like it so I ate it. No flavor, very thin. Main course...scallops with a few vegetables. No potatoes, rice, or anything else. Cookie platter to share for dessert. Some dry cookies and I love cookies but these were absolutely nothing special. Friends who are very thin (excellent at weight watching) love this restaurant. I wish I could love it and be as thin as they are.
Went home and had a snack.
