I believe most anyone can reserve the "honeymoon" suite and it does come with higher charge (at least I thought it did). Why not call a place (extra nice hotel or unique B & B and make reservations for a special weekend away just for your anniversary? And, to offer the hotel/B & B some extra incentive you might make your special 2 nights DURING the week when the suite is less likely used, and letting the staff know in advance that it's a very special anniversary. they'll probably surprise you - there's a number of really nice people out there like OO's hubbie and hopefully not that many like Rusty.
