Spamalot Tickets in NYC
Well, I'm heading to NYC over the Memorial Day break -- 5/31 through 6/3. Apparently, there are no box office Spamalot tickets to be had, and since I really want to see the show, I was just going to pony up for tickets from a broker. The question I have for those that know the theatre is where to sit. I read a lot of stories about obstructed seating, and I want to make sure that if I'm paying through the nose that I can see the show. For example, do the Center Orchestra seats in the rear of the theatre (rows S,T,U) still let you see the show? Or would I be better off with the front rows of the Mezzanine? Any advice helpful, including suggestions for reputable brokers, before I just look for one off Yahoo or end up with the concerige. Thanks.

Seats in Rows S, T and U would not not be obstructed views, just far from the stage. Yes, you can see everything, but again, you're far from the stage.
Yes, the front mezzanine is definitely preferable. In fact, that area is preferable to most other parts of the theater.
At this stage, I wouldn't be overly fussy about where you sit. Just be happy if you're able to get tickets.

Try all the ticket brokers you can find, because tickets for that weekend will be very hard to come by. Spamalot just got nominated for 14 TONY awards.
You might try ebay as well as some of the broker sites. I have used Applause several times and they were great. www.applause.com
Have a great time while you are here.

I gave out the wrong webaddress for Applause it's www.applause-tickets.com I just checked the website and it seems they may have tickets for that weekend. The price is $189 for one ticket. I think it may also include dinner.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, wantsomesun, I must have been sleeping. I'm usually poised over my computer waiting for those Tony nominations and I missed them this year. Just checked them out -- but didn't see any surprises.

Thanks everyone for the replies, they are most appreciated. I will definitely check out the Applause site. I've been watching EBay, but most of the seats available seem to be balcony or obstructed view.

I saw Spamalot last weekend. Unfortunately Tim Curry was out but his understudy did a great job. Hank Azzaria is a hoot. It was very silly funny and the audience laughed like crazy throughout. I was suprised at the number of children in the audience. I can't comment on the orchestra but we sat in the 3rd row of the mezzanine and had a great view. Good luck. If you like Monty Python I'm sure you will enjoy this.
