spa package/san francisco/arizona

I am looking for a mid-march deal or package to a spa for myself and my 16 year old daughter. We would like to be at a spa for 4-5 days and explore a city like San Francisco, for a few days as well. Any suggestions. We would consider other cities as well.

The spas that come to mind near SF are not so great for a teen I think.

The most luxurious and fabulous would be the Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur. I'd do the city first and the spa second so you'd be refreshed on your return from vacation.

Closer is Napa Valley and Meadow Wood. I haven't been here for sometime. Hopefully someone will chime in.

Some spas do mother/daughter packages but the ones I know are in other parts of the country. Safety Harbor in Florida, Camelback in AZ. The glamour component of the days in SF would be missing with those choices. LMF

Thanks for your reply, I checked out your suggestions, they are what I am looking for and I agree with you about SF. The only thing is, the prices, I don't see any specials. We're Canadian so it's a bit pricy for our dollar. Any other suggestions. Thanks

Topping for more info. Still looking for more info on deals at a spa. Does anyone know if spas in general allow 16 year olds to use the spa services.
Thanks again

HI there! I like the Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa in Sonoma,Ca. www.sonomamissioninn.com It is a Fairmont property. I think you have to be 18 to use the spa there. I also wanted to take my daughter and was surprised to see the age limit.

We also like the Indian Springs Resort in Calistoga, CA www.indianspringscalistoga.com They have the authentic mud baths here and a wonderful Olympic size pool heated to just the right temp. I felt like a rag doll after being at this place for two days!!

In AZ, I have heard wonderful things about the Scottsdale Princess spa, but have not been yet. Hope to visit sometime this year. Good Luck! I wonder if you called the spa of your choice if they would make an exception to the 18 age limit? Maybe some law or something for insurance puproses, I don't know.... ***kim***
