On March 12, 2008, Southwest Airlines was forced to ground 44 planes to check if they needed further inspection.

Actually, I have flown on a lot of those planes and there weren't any problems.
Now, if we could just get somebody to do something about our overworked, overburdened, understaffed, and poorly equipped flight control system..any suggestions, Gekko?
Perhaps we could start with that "seed" money from SouthBEST

From today's Wall Street Journal:
"Southwest Airlines Co. had to do repairs on four of the 38 planes it grounded Wednesday for maintenance reinspections, another sign of safety record-keeping problems at the Dallas low-fare carrier."

Four grounded planes had fuselage cracks.
I wonder if the FAA will impose yet another penalty?
