South Seas Hotel - Miami

What can anyone tell me about this hotel (rooms/pool, etc.) in South Beach. I'm currently booked there for 3 nights and hope I made a wise choice. Want to be close to things, but not in the midst of all the partying.

I've stayed there before and was perfectly happy. We had a large, oceanview room on the top (or next to top) floor. The lobby is small, the halls are nothing to speak of, but the rooms are fine and clean. The pool area is lovely and there is a little bar with food/drink. It is right on the beach. You are close enough to walk to restaurants/bars, but not in the midst of all the partying, as you said. They also have parking. It was reasonably priced. I would stay there again if you aren't looking for a real "marquee" place in South Beach.

Great mid range hotel in an excellent South Beach location. Rooms are small but so are most in South Beach.

Oceanfront pool, good restaurant/grill/bar, free breakfast either there or at it's sister hotel The Avalon on Ocean Drive.

I've stayed there twice and I'm sure I'll stay there again.

Thanks for reassuring me it's good. Even a free breakfast -- what do you get?

They say it is continental but it is heavier than continental. Pastries, toast, coffee, cereal, fruit, and cold cuts. Also, one or two hot things.
