South Beach vs. Naples?

jamierin, there's nothing much to tell about Joe's Crab Shack. It's a national chain restaurant. Very ordinary and overpriced food, music waaaaaaay too loud, etc. etc. Not worth your time or money. The location of the restaurant in Naples is nice, but there are so many better places to dine while you're there.

I've been to Joe's twice, the second time they almost had to drag me in screaming, but there was a group including kids so I gave in. Dln is being generous in calling it "ordinary". Our food was horrible, stone cold, and the service was unbelievably bad down to our entrees coming spread out over a period of over half an hour.

Yea, after living here full time since 1977, I guess so.
Actually when you look out the back of Beau Mer, across the small bit of water is The's Waterfront Cafe (no that's not a typo in the name of the place). It's nothing spectacular, but in my opinion a much nicer casual place to sit in open air (all basically open) and enjoy seafood and drinks. Nice weekend brunch menu with cheap and good Bloody Mary's. Just don't order a Virgin Mary, they charge more than twice as much as one with alcohol!!
