South Beach Pools

Best pool at high end hotel that will not have issues with topless sunbathing? Please advise where this occurs most often.

I didn't see any naked breasts at the National.

Not sure why this is so troublesome for people, however. I would also say it may be hard to avoid at many high-end since they cater to South Americans and Europeans who are not so prudish about naked breasts.

Would your vacation be completely ruined if naked breasts were seen at the pool? Would you need to go home immediately?

Mike, You missed the point of the message. We are looking for a high end hotel that will not have issues. A troll? No. We have enjoyed Grand Lido and other such resorts but, in lihgt of the times, choose not to leave the country.

I'll bite.

The Delano has an awesome infinity pool on pretty landscaped grounds and there was plenty of topless sunbathing. Most were boobies I'd like to forget. Enjoy.

Thanks for the input roxy. I have been hearing the Delano is over rated for the price

From my observations in South Beach, those willing to shed their clothes were the ones who shouldn't.

I've seen topless and thongs all over South Beach. If it bothers you, you may want to head to one of the beaches to the north.

The Delano overrated for the price? Well, the pool/gardens are wonderful, there's immediate beach access and they set up cushy lounge beds for you, and the room we stayed in had this enormous rainforest shower with several large sprays of water. The bar by the pool in the evening is a lovely place to be, the garden and pool all lit up, as is the bar in the lobby, it sparkles. The room itself, in all white, was very cool feeling and nice with the heat outside. Our ocean view however was not worth the money, it was pretty wimpy (unless it's only the ocean view rooms have that shower, THEN it's worth it). They do go a little overboard with the service though; our personal concierge let himself into our room one day and everywhere you turn someone is opening a door for you. Some like it, some don't.

All in all, I think the amenities (pool, beach, shower) and the surroundings are awesome and worth the money.

roxy, agree with you about the Delano but beleive it or not, its sister hotel, The Shore Club makes the Delano look worn.

No better place in the world for a mojito than the outdoor pool bar at the Delano in the afternoon.

Gotravel,

Why'd you have to make me wander over to the Shore Club website and daydream over my runny nose?

I've not stayed there but I've heard nothing but the highest accolades for The Tides.

Location is excellent.
