South Beach Lodging HELP!
We will be in Miami in Nov. for the International Book Fair.
I am told that South Beach would be a desirable (safe) location.
I'm doing searches now for a nice smaller accommodation in that area....maybe off the beaten track but in the "walking" area in South Beach.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Yes, South Beach would be the best location. There are some hotels in Downtown Miami but they mainly cater to tour bus groups and besides, Downtown Miami is not desirable. If you stay on South Beach you can even forego a rental car. Take a cab or supershuttle from the airport, and then rely on public buses which bring you just a block away from the book fair at Miami Dade Community College. Now, about the hotel, it really depends on what your budget is?........

thank you...a bus ride to the fair is a good idea.
Since I am looking for a nice (which means clean!)I know I will have to pay more than I usually do. Soooo, no more than $125 a night.
If I can focus on a couple of accommodations in that price range maybe I can find a "package deal" at that location.
