Sonoma County Restaurant Recommendations

Renting a house on the outskirts of Healdsburg, Chalk Hill Road area. Would like some restaurant recommendations around Sonoma County. We are open for anything. Have made reservations at Brix in Napa and was wondering how long of a drive from Chalk Hill Road area? All recommendations would be great!

We recently ate dinners in The Girl and the Fig and Cafe la Haye in Sonoma (town). Both were very good. We had dinner in Cyrus in Healdsburg - outstanding, but very very expensive. We also had a great lunch in Barndiva in Healdsburg and I would go there next time for dinner without hesitation. The compressed watermelon salad was amazing.

Cyrus - for perhaps the meal of your lifetime.

Brix is farther than I would want to drive after dinner. About a 1 hr drive via the beautiful Alexander Valley

brix is a long drive. so many great choices. one option-- look on the opentable web site and use the "no corkage" button -- quite a few restaurants in this area have no corkage fees on certain days (tues, wed...) which is a great thing when you've been wine tasting all day and have a new treasure to drink!

Cyrus is awesome! We have dined there 3 times now. Dry Creek Kitchen and Willi's Seafood & Raw Bar are also very good in Healdsburg. girl and the fig is a favorite of ours in Sonoma. I would also put Cafe La Haye on my Sonoma list, make reservations, the dining room is very small. We also like El Dorado Kitchen in Sonoma. ***kim***

My sister swears by Dry Creek Kitchen and Cyrus. We had a nice casual lunch at Healdsburg Bar & Grill last week and the chopped vegatable salad was great.

Also, check out Costeaux bakery. Great breakfast and pastries.
