Someone has to.......

....know of a fairly decent hotel in either Tampa or the West Palm Beach area -either on the beach or within walking distance of the beach.
$80-$120 per night.
Thanks!

To x and yyy,
No actually I haven't heard of doing a text search. I am new to this site and not quite sure how things work yet. But I really appreciate the kind, and warm words of wisdom you offer. It's so nice to know that there are such helpful, and considerate people out there to help some of us with our travel questions. I thank you for your understanding and great attitude.

OK, Jen, let's try this the nice way.

Hard-core Fodorites (you know who you are) tend to shun "teaser" posts: "Does anyone know of..." Indeed, they tend to ridicule them.

You'll get better results if the title of your post is something clear and straightforward: "Hotel in Tampa or West Palm for $80-$120/nt."

There, that was nice and polite, wasn't it?

Good for you Jen - some of these old timers forget what it's like to be the rookie!

Jen: I can't give you a helpful answer, but I can at least tell you to just ignore the many losers who post on this sight. Most are children on summer break right now. The adults who respond in such a childish manner are children who never grew up. Keep posting and you will find the nice people!

Jen, check out some of the mid-priced hotels in Clearwater and St. Pete. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree in St. Pete, not great but great location and nice enough. Also in Sand Key, the Radisson. Not top of the line but good if you want to be on the beach and plan to spend little time in your hotel.

You guys are great! Thanks so much for the help.
I just find it so hysterical as well as ridiculous how bitter and rude people are on these forums. What a stupid way to spend your time and energy...being short and mean to someone asking a travel question. If you don't like the question - don't respond!
Thanks again - I appreciate it.

Buzzoff:
If I recall...or if you actually read my first response closely I never mentioned a thing about not knowing how to write a post heading. I actually wasn't familiar with the text search and how certain things worked.
I have searched this forum once before using a "proper" heading - however, I never heard any responses and thought I would take one more last shot at asking again. Clearly it doesn't matter what any of these post headings are titled - you appear to have enough time to read them all and contribute your wealth of travel knowledge like you did for my post. Thanks for your response - I'm sure you are even more pleasant in person.

Thanks again to everyone for the hotel help. I will definitely look into those that were mentioned!
