Gardyloo, you are anything but a broken record! When I first started reading, I was drawn to Kodiak, but over time and all the possibilities it fell off my radar. I was trying to be efficient with the travel time and spend more time "being there". However, this idea means I am spending the rest of this evening reading my Kodiak information. I like this idea a lot.

Also, thanks for the feedback on redundancy. I was looking for that. Very helpful. Maybe a day to Seward, return the car to Anchorage, fly to Kodiak. Or fly to Nome. I can't do it all. But both of these appeal more than Homer. Especially the flight around Kodiak. Going where the masses don't go also has great appeal.

Yes, I usually post here and on TA. Both are helpful. You are a gem.

Thanks, mlgb. Your name is familiar. Might you have helped me a few years back with Chile/Argentina? I am thinking of the former convent hotel in Buenos Aires???

Thanks for this info. As I am learning about the duplication in my Itinerary V1, I keep tweaking it with info like this. So I will omit the Whittier 26 Glacier tour stop on my drive to Seward and add a day to Seward. That also satisfies another goal of longer times in fewer places. I will explore both of these options for Seward cruises. I don't mind paying more for the tours that are not "the usual". One would think that I am a recluse based on my wish list of avoiding crowds, and the usual places, etc. But my best travel memories are from the small, out of the way places, with chances to breathe and take it all in.
