How's mid-September in Cincinnati and Pittsburgh?

How's the weather conditions for a road trip in Ohio/Pennsylvania (Cincinnati, Cleveland & Pittsburgh) in mid September? Will it be humid and sticky? Lots of rain? Or is it when the nice fall weather starts to emerge? I'd like to fit in a visit to a few more MLB stadiums and I just saw some good airfare options for Cincinnati. There's a week in mid-September where I can fit in games for all three teams (Pirates, Indians and Reds). Anything that a 50+ year old couple should plan on seeing along the drive? 2 to 3 days in each location enough time to take in the highlights? Maybe 3 days in Cincinnati, 3 days in Pittsburgh and 2 days in Cleveland? Or are there other areas nearby that we should also plan on checking out?

It could be very nice in Cincinnati then but no guarantees. Humidity drops and temps go down in September and October. Not far from the ball park you will find bars and restaurants in the Over the Rhine ( OTR) , a re gentrifying area which can be visited by tram.

If you are museum fans, there's the NFL Hall of Fams in Canton, and the Rock and Roll HOF in Cleveland.

Thanks HappyTrvlr - We will be fitting in a Reds game and a Bengals game during our travels, so we will take your advice and check out the OTR neighborhood.

garyt22 - Thanks for the post. Yes, we are planning on both HOF visits while in that area. Figured that the Rock & Rock HOF is a perfect afternoon activity to enjoy before a Indians game in the evening. .
