so now its time to decide which shows to see

I will have Friday and Sat night to see shows and am debating whether to prebook or push my luck for last minute. Due to cancelling 2 previous trips, I am hesitant to book in advance, but its now 2 weeks ahead so maybe I should. But I also can't decide to what. I thought one musical and one play...have seen Rent/Chicago/Lion King/Phantom/Les Mis/. Have read reviews but would like some suggestions on must-see musical and play. many thanks.

Some will not be an option if they're hot tix unless you're prepared to pay high broker fees. What's your budget? There are so many good dramas on right now, you'll be spoiled for choice. Journey's End, Frost/Nixon, Blackbird (off Broadway) have all gotten excellent reviews. Have a look on broadwaybox.com and see which musicals are available on discount. If you're a Les Miz fan, The Pirate Queen might interest you. Didn't get great write ups but some enjoyed it.

It would help you to get some responses if you put the city you're talking about either in the title (preferred) or at least in the body of your message - we may be good out here in Fodorland, but we're not mind-readers .....

Sorry, I posted and chose New York as destination so assumed that was enough. Mclaurie I was thinking about a different type of musical and contemplating Spring Awakening. I also love dancing. SO much to choose from...thanks for the drama suggestions. I will look into them.

It's a common (natural) error to assume that selecting the state from the drop-down menu when posting will let everyone know what your post is about. Most people browse and entire board, however - and there's no way to tell which state the poster selected. It's only if you use the search box would your post come up as being a New York one. That's why people encourage you to put the location in the title. Hope this helps.
