So I guess I will say it yet again. Fodors needs to be clear about where you are posting your message and where it will appear. Something like "When you post your message on this "state" board it will appear on searches for this state As Well As the entire US board. So please speciffy the State in your question".

I've only been on the board about 4 years soccr so my experience doesn't equal yours. I do know that had I received a response such as yours when I was first "feeling" my way around the board I would have been very put off. Thankfully everyone was gracious and patient with my "novice" posts. As a result I have "met" so many interesting and well-traveled people that have helped me plan dozens of trips.

The destination guides do help with initial planning, however, I'm not interested in a restaurant or hotel review that's over a year old. I want to hear from someone who's been there, done that recently and can confirm that 1)it lives up to its review,
or 2)it's not what it used to be; and the best yet 3)let me know about a little gem they've just discovered.
