Rocky,
I googled Ski Clothing Rental Colorado and got these two from the list - there are others as well. The first is a shop in Breckenridge; the 2nd sends you the gear.

You may be able to find reasonably-priced ski clothing at REI-Outlet.

I would look before Breckenridge, because you will have more selection. Frisco is right on the way and sort of a bargain town. Also the area around Silverthorne/Dillon is wall to wall shops and shopping--also right on the way to Breck. it would be an easy stop on the way home to drop everything off.
There is a HUGE Sports Authority (formerly Gart Bros.) in Dillon that could be one stop shopping.
And as Peace says, go to Target or such and get your underclothing layers. Don't forget WOOL socks and wicking liners for your feet.

This all seems to be about location and lodging. Lets talk snowboarding vs. skiing. Snowboarding much harder to learn, but easier to master. Skiing is easier to learn, but hard to master.
In other words, on a scale of 10-- You will still be on a 1 snowboarding on this trip, however, you will probably be at a 3 or a 4 if you ski.
If this is your first ever snowboard or skiing, I would go with the skiing. IMOP.

No, on his other thread he is still planning to ski/board:
"Hi, me and some friends are going to Colorado this December for a little ski trip...we know that were going to snowboard in Keystone, and Breckenridge. We are just trying to see what else we can do, or what are some really great tourist attractions that anyone can recommend from personal experience. also were staying In FairPlay, (about 20 min from breckenridge) thanks guys"
Funny he chose Fairplay after all the advice above. Why Fairplay?? And "about 20 min from breckenridge"?-- not in bad weather.
Oh, well, we tried.
