Abigail if you're ever on the UES again, try Sables 2nd Ave (77th & 78th). The owner and workers are Zabar alums - with tables to eat at.

Abigail, Interesting that you looked up the Salmon/Tea recipes. I had asked Tom how she did it and it was the same procedure. I wouldn't be a bit surprised however if his Mom didn't have some sort of Soy based marinade on it. One thing I do know (we were fishing at the time on the Stilliguamish R. in Washington)is that it was unbelievable. I refuse to buy Salmon here in Florida. Most of it is farm raised or frozen I believe. Tasteless! Glad you had a good time in the city. Next time at Katz's...Corned beef and Pastrami on Rye with a schmear!
