What is best route from SLC to Tetons?
and best sites in one day trip to Teaton.

Do you want the fastest route or the most scenic? It is 6 hours from Salt Lake to Jackson and then more to go to the park. Check out the www.nps.gov website and search for Grand Teton NP. You will find the park newsletter which has great info regarding all of the ranger talks and it lists hikes by difficulty and time. It also has info on boats etc for the lakes.

When we drove to Jackson from SLC we went via Logan Canyon and I believe it was one of the most beautiful drives we had on that trip.

If you are there for a long time, think about doing some fly fishing.

If you like hot springs, consider taking I-15 most of the way. You can stop at Crystal Hot Springs in Honeyville, UT and again at Lava Hot Springs, ID.

Another favorite route would be highway 89 through Logan, UT and past Bear Lake.

You are absolutely right, we took 34 thru Logan Canyon.
