Come on down to New Orleans, the Big Easy. It is made for folks who have time and don't know how to spend it. Big k-hones, small k-hones, big ta-tas, small ta-tas, all sizes, shapes, ages, etc, etc, are welcomed. The friendliest people in the USA. And after a couple of huricanes (of the Pat O variety) you may do like many before you and never leave. As the bumper stickers say, "New Orleans, third world and proud of it."

You sound like you want to stay in the states. What about San Diego? You can golf, bike, hike, kayak, whale watch, zoo, wild animal park, seaworld, old town, coronado, la jolla & gaslamp district. Then if you want to relax by the pool, head out to Palm Springs (2hrs) for a couple days where it will still be 80+ degrees. OR if you want to ski, head up to Big Bear (2hrs) for a couple days.
Have a wonderful vacation, wherever you go!

I'm married and your age and have traveled all over and lived in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Hong Kong and Sydney when I was single. Here is what I recommend to you (not in any particular order)for a single guy vacation. All have beaches, many other activities, cheap compared to the US, and all have good food. Don't limit yourself to staying here in the US.

1. Costa Rica
2. Thailand
3. Australia

Have fun. Bring a raincoat- when it rains it pours!

I am also single & done some traveling by myself. I have only done cruises with other people - just didn't seem like it would be fun by yourself - too much time on the boat. I really enjoyed going into Miami and driving the Keys. I didn't find that the gay people in Key West to be intrusive (maybe because I am female). People in the keys were friendly and there is a lot to see & do. It was one of my favorite trips by my self. If it was me I would do the Miami thing, or maybe pick a couple of islands in the Carribean instead of a cruise.
