Should we go to Maui in October or November?

Hi,
I've been planning a trip to Maui for November but hearing that the weather during this time is not the greatest(rainy). Would October be a better time to go to Maui weatherwise? Will it make a difference? Those are the only 2 months I can choose from. We would like to stay in Kaanapali for 4 nights and then Wailea for 3 nights. Should we just cancel Kaanapali and stay in Wailea for the entire trip since it will rain less in that region?

Both -- hee hee. Seriously, the weather in hawaii is never really that bad -- it is not like the Carribean where hurricanes, etc are a factor.

I was on Kauai one year when a hurricane was bearing down on the island and we were told to prepare to evacuate the hotel the next morning. Luckily that time the hurricane changed course and we only got some rain. The point is, hurricanes do happen.
Go to the Weather Channel to find out about daily average temperatures, rainfall, etc.

Katie, our last two trips to Maui have been in November and we stayed in Kaanapali. No problems with the weather at all. It is always rainier on the Hana side, but should be fine at Kaanapali and Wailea.

There have only been five hurricanes since 1950 that caused serious damage in Hawaii, and only one of them hit Maui. There are FAR greater risks to worry about than hurricanes, the chances of which are very slim.
