SFO to OAK

What is the best way to switch airports? International traveler landing in SFO needs to get to Oakland airoport for next flight. Are there shuttle vans or is taxi the only way? Any idea what cabfare would be?

THANKS

I believe you can take BART to the next location. BART is like a subway train, but above ground. Call one of the airports or your airlines and ask.
Have a great trip.

BART from SFO to Coliseum station.

I believe this connection doesn't work 24/7, what time/day is the landing?

the BART website www.bart.gov has schedule and airport connection info. The price is pretty cheap, but the total trip door to door can take 2 to 2.5 hours.

- SFO airtrain shuttle 1 or 2 stops to BART station.
- Wait for BART train
- Ride to Balboa Park, transfer to 2nd BART
- Ride to Oakland Colosseum/airport
Shuttle to airport.

A taxi will be faster, less hassle (luggage hauling from train to train), but far more $$. My guess is close to $100. That's the rate from SFO to San Jose area, which is just about the same distance.

I have to believe there's a shuttle bus that will be the best option.
