SFO airport hotels

I will be taking an early flight from San Francisco and will be spending the night at an airport hotel. Does anyone have suggestions for the most convenient? Any that you would particularly recommend?

Thanks for all responses.

Budget depends on the options. I don't have a figure in mind. I am looking to find out what the options are, with convenience to the airport a most important factor.

There are many, ranging from the Fairfield Inn and the El Rancho on El Camino in Millbrae to a Marriott and Hyatt (and others) on Old Bayshore Highway. They're all within a couple of miles of the airport, and all of them have shuttles.

Everything from the budget Park Point to even the lower budget travelodge to the farther off the airport El Rancho to the Hampton Inn to the Holiday Inn Express to the Marriott to the Double Tree and 20 others -- almost all have shuttles and all are serviceable.

I agree, nothing really separates them except price.

I stayed at a Marriott Courtyard a while back. If I recall, it was a bit further south than many of the other airport hotels, but the shuttle started early in the morning and was very quick; probably less than 10 minutes.

Thanks everyone, it looks like there is no option that stands out for convenience and no place actually attached to the terminals, so I will make a decision based on other factors.

We stayed at the Hyatt SFO and it was a short distance to airport by shuttle. It had dining options which are important to us.

Yup, there's a Sizzler right across the street from the Hyatt

If you arrive early enough, take the local trolley into downtown Burlingame for dinner - have dinner at Mingalaba, a wildly popular Burmese/Chinese restaurant, or a Delfina Pizza or Little Star, or any number of other good restaurants on the other side of the freeway (hence the trolley) from the Old Bayshore hotels.

That's good to know, but we are arriving after dinner and leaving before breakfast, so for this trip dining options don't matter.

I have reserved the Holiday Inn Express.
