SF restaurant

Does anyone have an italian recommendation near the Beach Blanket Babylon show? We are seeing a 4pm show on a Sunday and I believe the show is located near chinatown and north beach area. Please let me know if I am wrong. Thanks for recommendations!!

Rose Pistola is in walking distance of Beach Blanket Babylon. It's an upscale Italian place.

Thank you. I think I would like something a little more casual. It will be a long day, Wok Wiz tour, afternoon show,so I am thinking a little more casual. We have two kids and they are good 10 and 12 years old, but they will be a little tired at this point. Any other suggestions that would be walking distance to the beach blanket babylon show?? Thanks again

The MonaLisa on Columbus, just a few doors down from the cross street Vallejo St. is casual with wonderful food. Owned by a man from Italy and all the staff are from Italy. Casual, great place for children etc. Just a few blocks from the Beach Blanket Babylon. My grandsons love it - they are very at ease with children there.

girlonthego, you know that I wish you a beautiful visit in SF.!

I didn't realize that the Mona Lisa was close to the show! I planned to go there at some point anyway based on your prior recommendation. No, I am not stupid, just should have looked at a map first! Thanks again LoveItaly. How crowded do you think it will be on Easter evening? We are seeing the show at 4 and it runs about an hour and a half. I figure we will head straight to dinner. I believe you said once before that they don't take reservations? Thanks again for all of the advice. I can't wait to go. I will have my family hopping. We have lots of plans. The last day is a day to do whatever. I am leaving it open to see more of something or just wander.

Hi girlonthego. Well if your show is at 4:00pm and it gets out at 5:30pm in a matter of minutes you would be at the Mona Lisa and I would think that you would not have a wait at all.

OH, I just called the MonaLisa for you to make sure that they are open on Easter. They are!

And they will take a reservation for you.

Their phone no. is 415-989-4917. Their exact address is 353 Columbus St.

They said to call them as soon as you can to make your reservation (I told them you were going to the Beach Blanket Babylon)

So girlonthego, this sounds like this will work out perfect for all of you, which makes me so happy! Best wishes

Wow! thank you so much!!!! I will call them today and make my reservation!!! You have been very helpful for my trip. I truly appreciate all of the advice you have given me. Instead of wandering aimlessly around a city, we have plans to see it all. (My husband loves when we have tons of plans!!)Thank you so much. When I call them, I will tell them that LoveItaly has sent me!

Hi girlonthego, well they won't know who "LoveItaly" is!

When you call be aware, you will be talking to an Italian from Italy (they all are). Their English is good, but they all have an accent, just so you will be prepared.

And I am so happy I could help make your trip nice. It is my pleasure.
My wishes to all four of you that you enjoy SF as much as I do.
