SF Parking Question

Hi, hopefully someone here will be able to answer this question.

My daughter and son-in-law have to go to the Italian Consulate next week. The Consulate is located on Webster at Broadway.

In the past they have not been able to find a parking lot close by and consequently have had to park quite a distant from the Consulate. Does anyone know of a public parking lot in this vicinity or a suggestion as to what street might have parking available (not much chance of that I am sure). Thank you.

P.S. I Googled for SF Public Parking lots and did not come up with anything for that location/area so probably there isn't a parking lot but am hoping there might be.

You probably will not have a public parking garage in that area. However, you usually can find parking within a couple of blocks--I've had no problems at Broadway and Gough when going to the German Consulate. One trick might be to find out the street cleaning days and hours and arrive toward the end of the cleaning hours time frame before all the spaces are taken.

The closest place I can think of is at the Gap at Pacific and Van Ness - but that is about 5 or 6 blocks away I'd guess.

Hopefully someone else has a better idea.

There is a garage on Clay (or one block north or south) and between Webster & Fillmore. It's associated with the hospital. We park there quite often when dining or shopping on Fillmore St. Broadway is just 4 blocks away, but I think the last block might be steep.

I would think you would be able to find street parking.
